Do you know the EPC rating of your rental property?
If your answer is NO, then take another look because....
From April 2106, tenants who are living in a property with an EPC rating with an F or G rating will be able to request that you carry out energy performance improvements!
And from April 2018 landlords will need to ensure that properties rented have an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) rating of between A and E. If your property falls into the two lowest categories: F and G you will not be able to put your property on the market!
Looking on the bright side if your property has a good EPC rating it could potentially get you more rent against a property that is lower rated!
